Fears and Phobias

People with a phobia tend to avoid coming into contact with whatever they're afraid of. That might be avoiding spiders or even pictures of spiders. This can limit their daily activities and may cause them quite severe anxiety and depression.

And people may imagine or remember situations where they are close to the thing they are scared of, and that can also cause symptoms of panic.

How can Solution Focused Hypnotherapy help with Fears and Phobias?

Sometimes, simply helping a person reduce the stress in their life and relax can be enough to reduce the phobia feelings to almost nothing.

Other times, your solution-focused hypnotherapist will start by emptying your metaphorical stress bucket. The next session will be called a rewind. This is where a memory of a phobia situation will be replayed forwards and backwards in your mind until it no longer feels bad in anyway. The third session is called a reframe. This is where, in trance, you picture yourself acting the way you want to behave around whatever used to make you feel phobic. After that, you will be able to see spiders, give presentations, get on a plane, etc, without giving it a second thought.
