Positive Change for a Positive Life Whether you know what the changes are you need to make, or if you feel that you need to make changes but you aren’t sure what those changes are, then Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) could be the ideal therapy to help you. For you, that change may be how you feel, or respond to events, or how you behave. It may be something tangible like losing your temper, suffering with anxiety or smoking or biting your nails. Or it may be more difficult to put into words other than ‘I just don’t feel like me’. You may have a specific phobia that is preventing you from enjoying your life. Or maybe poor sleep is affecting your ability to think straight.

Feel confident with an experienced clinical hypnotherapist
I am a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Gloucestershire, The UK, providing on-line therapy sessions worldwide.
I trained at Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training, a leading teaching college. This training led to a Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (DSFH). I subsequently gained my Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) through the National Council of Hypnotherapy.
Training doesn’t stop on the day of receiving your diploma so I keep my skills up to date with regular CPD (Continual Professional Development)
My passion has always been to help people reach their potential and for them to be happy
There is something very rewarding about watching someone develop their skills and achieve what they want. This is why I chose to train as a primary school teacher when I left school.
I graduated in 1989 with a BEd Hons from Goldsmiths, London University and spent the next 26 years in education. For two years I was assistant bursar of a student halls of residence, helping young adults adjust to a new independent life, often away from home for the first time.
Eager to see the world, I moved to Singapore where I taught English to children and adults for four years. When I returned to the UK I taught for three years in a Luton infant school before moving to Winchcombe Primary School where I taught for 17 very happy years.
In 2014 I was ready for a change and for a different work life balance, so I decided to retrain as a hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy is a technique that I have been familiar with for most of my life, starting when I was a young teenager when my mum had sessions to help her with her anxiety about travelling.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy has allowed me to continue with my vocation to help people get the best out of themselves and their lives. Clients may arrive nervous and anxious but quickly realise that with me they are safe and valued. Their smiles return and there is excitement about what their future holds.
Working with people on the autistic spectrum
Many of us suffer with anxiety at some time or other and being on the autistic spectrum can intensify these feelings. During my teaching career and personal life I have had extensive experience and interest in this field. I have taken further training in this area.
Hypnotherapy is highly effective with children and teenagers as they are generally more receptive to hypnosis. They have very vivid imaginations which makes it easier to access the subconscious mind and bring around the desired changes. Children are very good at daydreaming and they enjoy it. Having been a primary school teacher for over 20 years I have plenty of experience working with young people.
Working with children and teenagers
During my initial training I took an additional seminar on ‘Working with Children’. And have since furthered my training with subsequent courses. For your peace of mind I have a current Enhanced Criminal Record Certificate.
